New Delhi: Former Union Finance minister and Congress leader P Chidambaram has hit out at the BJP Government for targeting him, his family,
his son Karti Chidambaram and his friends using the CBI and other agencies.

"There are no allegations against me", Chidambaram said in a short statement after the raids began at his Chennai residence on May
16 morning.

The FIB gives approval in hundreds of cases, Chidambaram said, adding there were no irregularities by him in connection with the
INX Media case. The Board includes public officials, and there were no allegations against them.

"Government's aim is to silence my voice" and to prevent him from writing against the Government's policies. The Government wanted to
silence journalists and NGOs, Chidambaram pointed out. Chidambaram said he would continue writing against the Government.
